Yeah, Zev brought his guitar AND his mini-conga, but they were nowhere NEAR as cool as George's pro set-up, and he didn't give them a second glance once the guys let him sit in on the 'big' set! Pro musicians crack me up, in the way that they brought out all the 'toys' for a backyard barbecue, complete with sound and light show! As well as every form of drum imaginable, there were electric violins, mandolins, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, and various other forms of percussion. One of my friends commented to me after watching Zev jam with the boys (on the drums again, at age 2!) that I no longer had to date musicians, as now I had bred one! I'm sure Itai will rock out when he's ready - remember lessons with Mr. Naroff? Talk about skeeving me out!Mama Pajamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10278474039105398842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2740055889978712690.post-33919346504550935332009-07-27T01:44:34.557-04:002009-07-27T01:44:34.557-04:00Ok, ignoring the "having kittens in your bed&...Ok, ignoring the "having kittens in your bed" thing as that would totally skeeve me out if I let it.

Latching on instead to a totally different part of your post, look at your boy go! He looks like a natural up there. We go to a lot of big acoustic jams and Itai loves to bring an instrument and play along (encouraged, within reason). I had to persuade him though that a darbuka (Middle Eastern drum) would blend in a lot better with all our (seriously talented professional) musician friends than a C-harp played at top volume - even when said song was in a different key. The heart is there. The skills? Not so much. As soon as his hands are a bit bigger though we'll start him on guitar, he can't wait. Hopefully he's not as tone deaf as his dead, but it's not looking great LOL.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02409530202277375625noreply@blogger.com
